Perumarath Vishnumaya Chathan swamy Shree Mahakali temple welcomes all its devotees to its official website. This temple is located in the village of Pudukkad in Thrissur district. The mainland is embedded between the rivers of Manali and Kurumali. Its glory prevails to a seven hundred years since Kunjeeti Muthappan migrated to Pudukkad region from Northern malabar. Kunjeeti Muthappan is considered to be the founder of this temple.


                               Perumarath Vishnumaya Chathan temple is one of the prominent Vishnumaya temple in Kerala. According to ancient Acharyas devotion has many facets. First as a friend as Arjuna to Krishna, second as a Lord similar to the devotion of Hanuman to Sri Rama, third is Love as of Kururamma to Lord Krishna, fourth as an enemy as in Ravana to Sree Rama. Beyond all these facets Vishnumaya Chathan Swamy takes the role as a person among the lay people. Devotees consider Vishnumaya Chathan Swamy as one among themselves answering all their prayers immediately and solving all the worries and problems. Vishnumaya Chathan Swamy is the son of Lord Siva and Parvathy born in the uterus of Koolivaga in Lord Vishnu’s maya. People worship Vishnumaya Chathan swamy for ages.

Shree Mahakali resides as samharamoorthi and shanthaswaroopini on a Lion with weapons in all ten hands after the nigraham of Mahishasuran and incarnated state as Parashakthi before the vadham of shumbha and nishumbha. Sarppas from ancient times of this area present as Nagaraja, Nagayakshi and chitrakuda present in this temple. Karimkuttichathan and Panickarachan are also prathishtas in the temple.
